Once you have
installed both the input adapter, 2-Secure software onto your
computer and activated your software, you now need to
configure the software.
|
No particular order needs
to be followed when setting up the system, however it is
advised that when you initially setup the system you follow
these procedures.
After completing the previous
sections you will be presented with the main 2-Secure screen,
your screen will show windows either blue in colour or the
camera images.
|
 |
The 2-Secure window is
divided in many areas each of these areas explained below:
|
 |
Sentry mode keypad area
allows you to enter your four digit security code that you
have setup in the configure password area in combination with
the mode key. For example if your security code was 1234 and
you wished to enable mode number 3 you would enter 12343. This
can be entered by using the keyboard from within any part of
the main software window, or by clicking on the appropriate
numbers with your mouse.
|
 |
Current status area
displays the mode that is currently enabled on the system,
which camera has just detected motion, indicated by one or
more of the green boxes turning red. Other items displayed in
this area are a warning icon when an error occurs, simply
double click the warning triangle to open the information box.
Confirmation icons when the system is either uploading motion
or periodic images to a remote server. The final items
displayed in this area are the remote viewing icons, this will
display an eye when the cameras are been viewed remotely over
the Internet or via mobile phone and a explanation mark within
a speech bubble when users are logged in.
|
 |
Stats area gives you an
overview of the correct system status, without needing to go
into the configuration areas of the software this area allows
you to see the current status of the web server, last mobile
and Internet user access, when the last motion was detected
and finally the current external IP address.
The web
server is the component within the software that allows remote
users to view cameras and control the system, if this area
ever reports anything other than Ok, it is advised that you
check your Internet connection and restart your computer if
necessary.
The last mobile and Internet users logged
in provides details of the last time an external user logged
into the system, either to view cameras or control the system.
The IP address area provides details of your current
external IP address and port number that external requests are
routed through, depending on your Internet configuration the
IP address displayed may change but it will not affect the
operation of 2-Secure.
